With 'business for a better planet' we want to express our commitment to a just and sustainable world for all members of the human family as described in the Earth Charter Initiative:
'To promote the transition to sustainable ways of living and a global society founded on a shared ethical framework that includes respect and care for the community of life, ecological integrity, universal human rights, respect for diversity, economic justice, democracy, and a culture of peace'
On a practical level this means we:
Facilitate fundamental change in profit and non profit organizations that are committed to the goals of the Earth Charter Initiative
Focus on root causes of the challenges facing humanity and seek to change existing unjust and unsustainable systems and practices
Work together and build partnerships on a win/win basis to create momentum and broad support for fundamental change
Empower individuals and groups by sharing expertise and helping them to strengthen their capacities for problem solving and leadership
Promote respect and understanding among individuals and groups from diverse cultures and communities and resolve differences through dialogue
Walk the talk of the spirit of the Earth Charter in our day-to-day life at home, in the workplace and in our communities
